Mozambique approves new Industrial Licensing Regulation, completing reform of business licensing
Decree No. 62/2026 (BR No. 183, Series I, 24/09/2026) approves the new Regulation on the Licensing of Industrial Activity and repeals Decree No. 22/2014. It enters into force around 23/03/2027. It sets four establishment sizes, a digital process with tacit approval and a QR-coded licence. Existing licences must be replaced within 180 days. It completes July's reform of Prior Notification and Simplified Licensing (Decrees No. 40 and 41/2026, BR No. 141).
